Programme Overview

In today's times, technology has made advances in how it influences modern business. With the growth in digital adoption, the volume of attacks and the nature of the cyber threat is evolving. Learn to eradicate cyber threats by reskilling with one of the third generation IITs in India, IIT Palakkad- Post Graduation Certification in Cyber Security. This interdisciplinary Cyber Security programme is highly timely due to ever-increasing cyber threats to businesses and government bodies.

Pedagogy consists of exciting topics like technical and policy aspects of cyber security, insight on cryptography, malware analysis, network traffic analysis, emerging threat analysis and much more. Participants will acquire hands-on practices in malware analysis by using sandboxes for static and dynamic analysis. Moreover, learners will analyse network traffic and network system logs using security information and an event monitoring system.

Assistant Professor - Computer Science And Engineering

Dr. Satyajit Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Palakkad. He received his joint Ph.D. degree from University of South Brittany (UBS), France, and University of Bologna (UniBo), Italy. Prior to joining IIT Palakkad, he was a postdoctoral fellow at LabSTICC, UBS.

“Cyber-attacks have become very common nowadays causing financial, infrastructural, and reputational damages to organizations. Most companies are currently looking to uphold their response plan to such security incidents by building strong secured IT infrastructure. This course aims to equip students with skills to assess existing cyber threats and implement remediation plans. Participants will get ample opportunity to assess network traffics, and analyze malware and cyber risks through hands-on sessions.”
